#13; This superb model is largely designed for use at range in the sea, when the key to victory is juicy bait in the breakers. But as targeting this species requires, it wasn’t designed solely for distance but for specific large bait scenarios too. Having a long length enables you to cast bigger baits with ease, whether clipped or flapping. You can use fixed spool or multiplier reels with braid if required. This isn’t a specialist’s rod and to anyone who wants a predominately lighter and thinner beach style rod with a lighting tip to hold in the surf, this is for you. This species has now become probably THE most targeted individual species in the UK, and is about the only species where you could use literally hundreds of techniques to catch one.
